Seradria was founded in 1994 in Bucharest, Romania. Its main object of activity is fattening, veterinary treating and sale (export) of livestock – sheep (lambs) and cattle (bulls). Seradria also exports meat carcasses (sheep and cattle) and animal feed in bales or granulated form. By using the latest technologies in the industry the company is able to produce the highest quality alfalfa all year round. The Lucern obtained is perfect for feeding livestock, especially lambs and cattle. We’ve had a long relationship with clients from EU states and various Middle East countries. Some of the countries that we have worked with are Italy, Greece, Turkey, Spain, Germany, France, Jordan, Syria, Iraq (including Kurdistan region), Lebanon, Tunisia and Libya.
The company is led by Ing. Jurist Ion Serban, president of The Romanian Producers and Exporters of Sheep and Cattle (APEROB) and member of the Patronate of the Romanian Breeders and Exporters of Sheep – PACERO, who has an extensive experience in the sheep breeding, slaughtering and trading.
Our 10 ha2 farm is located at 25 km of the Cluj Napoca city, in the town of Rascruci. We have a capacity of around 150,000 combined sheep (lambs) and cattle (bulls) per year, with all the necessary conditions and utilities required by the European Union.
Livestock Exporter – Sheep and Cattle from Romania
We work with shipping companies that have vessels with a capacity between 200 and 1,000 tonnes of load. This translates into around 6,000 to 20,000 lambs per each transport, or 800 to 2,000 bulls, depending on their weight. If necessary, we are able to provide larger ships as well. We can also ship lambs and cattle on the same ship if needed. For North Africa and other Mediterranean countries, the transit time is 4-6 days at sea. For the Arabic Peninsula the transit time is around 2-3 weeks.
For continental Europe we deliver by truck, each having a capacity of around 350-650 Romanian lambs/sheep or around 40-50 Romanian cattle/bulls.
We have a very good traceability system in place. Every single lamb/bull has two tags in their ears with a unique identification number. Once they enter our farm these unique identification numbers are electronically stored and uploaded to the ANSVSA (National Sanitary Veterinary Authority for Food Safety) servers. Every client will therefore have the ability to track each of the Iambs or bulls purchased back to its origin.
Together with the tags the Romanian cattle is also delivered with individual unique passports with details of their birth date and their mother.
Among the documents we prepare for each export we provide a sanitary veterinary certificate that is specific for each country . These certificates have been officially approved by both the Romanian and importing country’s sanitary veterinary national authorities.
As a more special case, for Israel we castrate the lambs that we prepare for export. We also make all blood analysis and vaccines required by the Israeli authorities.
